17 MegaWatt Clean Power Plant
Hydrogen can be safely produced from renewable sources such as solar and wind, thus enabling the intermittent and excess generated power to be stored for applications in transport, homes and businesses.
This 17 megawatt hydrogen power plant will have the ability to power 13,000 homes and is designed to be symbiotic with its solar input, in that it will smooth the natural variability of those sources, giving utilities more flexibility and helping make renewable energy more valuable.
On July 15, 2009, Jetstream Wind, Inc. publicly introduced our plans for a seventeen megawatt renewably-generated 100% hydrogen power plant that mimics a natural gas plant’s ability to firm renewable power.
Pre-development for this project has already begun and continues with aerial flyovers, security assessments, mapping, surveying, soil sampling and testing. Our required sampling includes measuring the soil gradient that is available to support the turbine, which is over 60 tons and requires a foundation with no movement over its time period.
We, along with Security Advisors Worldwide have begun our Renewable Energy Community Outreach Program (RECOP) in the city of Truth or Consequences, working in cooperation with local officials to assist in creating county-wide safety and educational programs.
We also plan to take the sustainable and environmental approach to the construction of this plant by working with, utilizing and recycling the natural resources at the plant location. Our goal is to create a power plant that not only visually matches and accentuates its high-desert location but also to disturb as little natural resources as possible in the process.
Technical layout of our hydrogen plant
The design of our hydrogen plant it is divided into two halves.
The first half is the renewable energy input side, which provides us the DC electricity. From that side, we can use nearly any renewable source such as biomass, wind, geothermal or solar. The DC electricity then runs into the electrolysis portion of the power plant.
None of the electricity coming into this plant originates from the current transmission lines, and is not from sources such as coal, natural gas or nuclear power which create carbon dioxide emissions or leave heavy environmental residues.
The second half of the plant is the actual power production side which is similar to a natural gas fired plant. These two in combination provide a combinatory system through renewable energy input and the power generation that completes the process.
Climate Kitchen

In a collaborative effort, Jetstream Wind, Inc. and Remote Renewable Resources are currently developing what will be the first of its kind "Climate Kitchen".
This project is designed as a self-contained, renewable hydrogen production vehicle combined with a mobile business necessary to film production sets everywhere.
Climate Kitchen, a 35’ Freightliner, is a stand-alone power source capable of safely producing, compressing and storing hydrogen to provide stable and 100% clean and harmful emission-free electricity.
Beginning in March of this year, Climate Kitchen will be seen on film sets throughout New Mexico as a craft services business, delivering fresh meals, wi-fi service, and production crew services while being completely powered by renewable energy.
As the entertainment industry moves forward in strong and green initiatives, so does Jetstream Wind, Inc. and Remote Renewable Resources.
